Hello everyone.

I would like to introduce you all to an online petition that I discovered, which supports an international agreement on animal welfare. Currently, there is no global law on animal cruelty, and by signing this petition, you will be supporting the world’s first international agreement on animal welfare.

In brief, the declaration states the following

  • The welfare of animals will be a common goal of all participating states.
  • The welfare of animals will be promoted and recognized by improving national and international laws on animal health.
  • Appropriate measures must be taken to prevent animal cruelty.

Please help establish the global agreement on animal welfare by signing the petition for the Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare. The destination for this declaration is the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The petition is on animalsmatter.org

Hello once again,

I would like to introduce to you all an online petition I have found for KFC. You may not be aware that Kentucky Fried Chicken has shown open disregard for animal welfare in a number of ways:

  • Chickens are crammed into crates that stink of ammonia fumes.
  • Workers carelessly shove chickens into cages.  This action often breaks the chickens’ wings and legs.
  • Chickens’ throats are slit and the animals are thrown into extremely hot water to remove their feathers, often while the chicken is still conscious.
  • Many slaughterhouses employ inhumane practices to slaughter their birds, such as spray-painting chickens’ faces, spitting tobacco into chickens’ eyes, and cruelly stomping on chickens.
  • KFC ignores animal welfare programs and the advice given to them.

Please help by signing the online petition hosted by kentuckyfriedcruelty.com.  With your help we can:

  • Make KFC adopt the Animal Care Standards program.
  • Halt the painful killing of chickens.
  • Stop drug-feeding to chickens.
  • Make KFC welfare actions verifiable.

By offering your support, you can help us make a difference!  Thank you.

It’s a great day for animal rights!

The Students For Animal Rights (SFAR) web site is now online! As an introduction of sorts, we are a team of high school students who stand for and protect the right to life and happiness of all animals. We’ve seen the videos and we’ve heard their cries: poor animals are tortured, violently killed, and pit against each other purely for sport and entertainment. At SFAR, we know that there is something we can do about this miserable condition.

SFAR has formed with the objective to open eyes to a world of animal abuse and liberate those creatures who suffer under the heartless cruelty of human beings. Some forms of activities in which we will partake include: raising funds to benefit animal organizations, starting petitions with aims to curb the market for animal goods, and providing comfort to mistreated animals. We can make a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of these animals by keeping them away from the wrong hands and giving them a home in which they are welcome.

Every living animal deserves a chance to live a happy life. Before another poor creature loses that opportunity, make a contribution! Please donate to us or other animal-related organizations such as WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) or buy a T-shirt directly from us! You can also show your support for animals rights by visiting our sponsors – simply click on the advertisements that appear on this page. We thank you for placing an interest in helping the unprivileged and often overlooked animals of our global society. With your help, we can give back to nature and these animals the rights and respect that they deserve.

Again, thank you all!
